My A-Class has squeeky brakes, how can I cure this? 1) The sliders seize which gives you a squeal which goes as you apply the brakes 2) The pads if not fitted correctly squeal due to lack of grease around the edge of the pad when installed
Taken the front wheels off, pulled the brakes apart and put them back together with plenty of copper grease, especially on the backs of the pads and around the clips.
Either that or get a can of WD40 and spray the backs of the pads!
REMEMBER to ride the brake to burn the extra WD40 off the disks. Don’t just drive off and expect the brakes to work.
Do the first, first though! It last longer and is a lot safer. (mykp & Shaggy)
