Llangollen – 27th March 2004-03-27

This was our first meeting in a foreign country :) and even thought the turn out was lower than normal, where were you? The weather threatened to rain all day. It didn’t and all who turned up had a good day.
We met up on the East Street car park in Llangollen at 10:30am and after a quick chat, we where all left to our own devices for a few hours to roam the streets, attractions and shops of the town. Most of us made for the Steam Railway as they had a special event on with extra engines laid on.
We reconvened at the car park at 12:30ish and all went for dinner at The Corn Mill which is situated on the banks of the River Dee, where lively conversation ensued. The food was very good as well!

After another brief chat in the car park about modifications and accessories we proceeded in convoy up the Horseshoe Pass, where we parked up for photos and the prize for the best car of the day, which was a won by me (mykp). This was the first time an Evo model has won.

Whilst up at the Horseshow pass we went into the Ponderosa (The Horseshoe cafe) where we spent the next hour drinking coffee, talking A-Class and discussing life in general before it was back outside for more photos then goodbyes until next time.

Again another good event despite the lack of cars but everyone enjoyed themselves and all vowed to attend the next meeting at Dodleston on the 22nd May.
