As a change from the norm, Steve the Webmaster has written this report.....
Saturday the 22nd may saw several members return for the third time to the popular venue of the Red Lion Public House Dodleston near Chester.
I was the first to arrive closely followed by Richard. He was on his own this time as Ann was taking her motorcycle test. A phone call later in the day confirmed that she had passed - brill!
John and Louise arrived next closely followed by Tony and Gilda. Mike and Junko were next.
We all reminded ourselves what each of our cars looked like, before going inside for something to eat and drink.. Sherif and his mate Simon arrived just as we were finishing our meals. finally Andrea my wife arrived bring the total of A Classes to seven.

Whilst we all returned outside to use the outdoor seating, Mike as the previous winner had the job of choosing the car of the day. After some deliberation he asked me to present the car of the day to Sherif with his LWB A170CDi Elegance.

Following the taking of more pictures we drove in convoy in a circular route though the Cheshire countryside. This involved going right round a roundabout, as I was leading it was great to see the other A Classes belonging to the club coming towards me on the other side of the road in the other direction.

One stretch of road had recently been resurfaced with loose chippings. One of these chippings was to jam in Sherif's brakes between the disk and the backplate. The chipping was removed and photographed back in the pub car park.

Travelling in Sherif's car was Simon who videoed the complete route taken. Hopefully this will be available sometime in the future as a download on this site.
Following somemore chat we all made our way back home.
