Fitting under seat storage boxes
What you need:
Drivers seat box with fire extinguisher insert – Part number B6 7 81 0127 - £25.05 + VAT (11/04)
Passenger seat box with non slip liner – Part number B6 7 81 0128 - £25.05 + VAT (11/04)
Parts in each kit
- Storage box with front handle
- Non slip liner
- 4 x T25 Torx screw
- 2 x box runners
- 4 x rivets
- 2 x brackets

The instructions give no details of what you are supposed to do with the 4 rivets and two brackets from each kit. I presume they are something to do with the fire extinguisher as this is mentioned in the part number for the front storage box. This is strange as both kits are the same; both have a curved recess in the box before inserting the liner as you can see in the photos.
Tools for the job:
T25 Torx bit or screwdriver to screw in rail screws
E12 Female Torx socket to remove front driver’s seat and passenger seat if yours is removable
Ratchet and small extension

Instructions
Remove seat from car. If you have removable passenger seat see previous article or owners manual.
For driver’s seat and non removable passenger seat you will need an E12 female Torx socket to remove seat. To do this remove the four Torx bolts from the end of each seat rail. A short ratchet extension is useful to be able to reach it.

Lay seat on its back and you will see four screw holes with four locator pins

Place each rail on the locator pins and screw down with a T25 Torx screwdriver bit (two screws per side).

Slide storage box on to rails.

Put seat back in car.
Job complete.
