12v Socket part number - A210 820 09 51

The first thing to do is get the rear double seat out of the way by lifting it up or taking it out completely, then unscrew the black holder for the luggage nets

Open the storage area where he first aid kit is kept and take out the plastic cover on the right hand side,

there is also a pin under the meal strip that needs to be pulled out

Pull the black plastic cap off that covers the seat belt nut and unscrew the nut

Both of the metal hooks in the floor need to be taken out, you have to lift off the plastic covers so you can get to the star shaped screw head, when the screw is out the complete plastic moulding will be loose

There are 4 plastic covers that need to be taken out of the plastic strip across the boot so you can remove it.
All of the fixings are now removed and you can remove the side panel from the car

When the interior trim is out of the way you can see all of the cables that were behind it, the white connector in the picture was already there for the 12v socket so all I had to do was plug the socket in

I used a circular saw that goes on the end of drill to cut the hole, it made a good clean cut I just had to cut a square out of the top so the 12v socket would go through the hole

When you have got the 12v socket fitted in the hole it is time to put the car back together, it is not very difficult to get the side panel back in place but it does take a few minutes to get it all screwed in and fitting properly
